Evil School Demo Patch Notes
Every public demo update from June through July 2026 — and what to retest in Chapter 1.
The Evil School Demo received multiple numbered builds between its February 14, 2026 launch and the August 14, 2026 full-game release. CineGame Interactive published patch notes on the Steam Community Hub — this page consolidates them for wiki readers so you know what changed without hunting every announcement thread. After updating, cross-check Controls & Interface and Demo Walkthrough.
How to update
- Open Steam → Library → Evil School Demo.
- Allow automatic updates or right-click → Properties → Updates → verify.
- Note build behavior — CineGame labels patches T.2.xx in announcement titles.
Full game uses a separate app ID; demo patches do not automatically apply to unreleased full depots until launch.
Patch T.2.23 — July 24, 2026
Focus: Russian localization audio test.
- Added Russian voice-over version (test).
- Players can switch Russian VO and subtitles in game settings.
- Fixed bugs in specific situations (unspecified edge cases).
- Developers request feedback via discussion forums — quality may iterate.
Wiki impact: Russian-speaking players can evaluate dub before buying; subtitle-only routes unchanged mechanically.
Patch T.2.21 — July 2, 2026
Focus: English localization audio test.
- Added English voice-over version (test).
- Settings menu toggle for English VO + subtitles.
- Bug fixes for situational softlocks or sync issues.
- Labeled test version — report timing mismatches on Steam.
Wiki impact: Getting Started English audio FAQ now reflects in-game toggle rather than Steam metadata alone.
Patch T.2.16 — June 18, 2026
Focus: Accessibility and difficulty.
- Reduced difficulty of some rapid-tap QTE sequences.
- Hidden exploration items now visible — lowers clue miss rate.
- Revised and optimized English translations in subtitle text.
- Reminder: full game still in development.
Wiki impact: Clue Hunting completion rates may rise — revisit 100% evidence guides if you played only the February build.
Patch T.2.11 — June 4, 2026
Focus: UI polish and narrative branches.
- Optimized floating character animations on chapter pages.
- Improved archive page image details.
- Added red dot reminders on archive when new entries unlock.
- Polished some storyline branches (unspecified scenes).
- Added easter egg video on chapter settlement page.
Wiki impact: Archive red dots help completionists — note easter egg is flavor, not an ending flag.
